An Investor's Introduction to Games
13:00–15:00, September 30th
Welcome to Games Investment
Konsoll Connect is organizing an investor meeting in Oslo, September 30th, to offer a small group of Norwegian investors a thorough overview of investment in games from experienced speakers from Finland and Norway, who will be providing a unique insight into their experiences.
Our event will take place at Kristiania University College in Oslo, from 13:00-15:00. The Finnish VC company Play Ventures and the Finnish industry association for video games, NeoGames, will share their experiences investing and working with game developers. In addition, the Oslo company Hyper Games will give an introduction to building a video game company.
Taking place over 2 hours, this meeting offers Norwegian investors exclusive access to Finnish industry backers with a long and broad experience of investing in the video game industry both in the Nordic region and the rest of the world. In addition, participants will have the rare opportunity to learn about game development processes from a well established Norwegian game company.
Our program will include an introduction to the international games industry, forms of investment in games, discussion of monetary returns, game development timelines, and how Norwegian game companies approach funding.
Noneda's goal with the event is to share and increase awareness of the video game industry from an investor perspective, providing in-depth knowledge which, in turn, can potentially accelerate investments in the Norwegian industry.
The event is a part of a series of events under the umbrella of Konsoll Connect, the business development part of the game developer conference Konsoll. Konsoll is run by Noneda, and takes place in Bergen each fall. This year marks its 10-year anniversary.
The Konsoll conference is one of the Norwegian game developer’s most important meeting places. Our ambition is to expand our event to several cities, and are therefore arranging this investors meeting in Oslo.
