The creatures and characters that capture our imagination don’t come to life by accident – behind them stands decades of expertise. At Konsoll 2025, we are thrilled to welcome Stuart Sumida, the scientist who has shaped the worlds of animation, film, and games for over 35 years.
With three books and nearly 100 scientific papers to his name, Stuart has great experience as an anatomical consultant for studios like Disney, PIXAR, DreamWorks, SONY ImageWorks, Framestore, Guerrilla Games, Blizzard, and Riot. His work spans beloved films including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Harry Potter, Ratatouille, Life of Pi, Guardians of the Galaxy, Zootopia, Soul, and the upcoming Zootropolis 2 and Wild Robot.
We can’t wait to welcome him to Konsoll 2025 and our Student Day and hear his insights on the intersection of science and creativity in animation, film, and games.
